My personal childhood web could possibly go on for quite some time however there are 5 individuals whom I hold near and dear to my heart. ...
Awesome post! I can image a vivid picture about your childhood. You are right, children today lost their play or at least free play in other words due to the digital world we live in. The most play children receive is at recess while they are at school.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your post. I like the fact that you and your family still keep the playing momentum alive. When it was just me and my two oldest children and being so busy with life duties as single mom. I noticed that I was buying toys for my kids to play with but was never playing with them! One day I just decided that Wednesday was game night and no homework or work was getting done on those days. I told the kids they have two days to get home done before hand. I realized by participating in their play instead of supporting their play made a difference in my child's self-esteem, character and built their confidence.
ReplyDeleteNice post, love that you and your husband take part in playing with the children. that is so important in their growing to be engaged and it makes it interesting and allows them to see a different side of you parenting.
ReplyDeleteI agree children now do most of their activities online. I know asking my children to go outside seems like I'm punishing them. Children now even attend school online due to the rencent pandemic. Children need to go outside more, explore and play more.
ReplyDeleteGreetings to you Queen. I really enjoyed reading your post. I can definitely relate to being home before the street lights come on. I love to play! I play with my students and I play with my son. You are so right. It keeps you youthful and healthy. Blessings to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your childhood with us.
