The topic I chose to learn more about is equity in education. As it is my headlining topic, I also chose 3 subtopics related to it. The 3 subtopics I want to explore are equity in access to quality care, equity in quality education and equity in discipline among races. This topic personally speaks to me as an African American because it is mostly children and families of color that end up on the negative end of the spectrum when it comes to the impact of this topic. As an educator who has worked in 3 different states all on military installations I have seen what different financial opportunities mean for access and opportunity. I would like to know if any of my colleagues have any experiences with inequities in education of any form in there childhood or in their career. If so how did it effect you? The following link is to a YouTube video that gives insight to inequality in education as it is a global problem. https://youtu.be/T-JVpKku5SI

My personal childhood web could possibly go on for quite some time however there are 5 individuals whom I hold near and dear to my heart. ...
Great topic! I completely agree with your statement African American children and families are effected and do not receive accessable quality education. Being a parent and educator I was blessed to be able to find quality childcare for my children, which is one of the reason I want to advocate for families to help them get access to quality careand education. I look forward to reading more!
